Nakhon Pathom Province

Nakhon Pathom is a small province located just 56 km from Bangkok. There are features that are the province of a religious structure called “Phra Pathom Chedi”, first religious landmark that states filtration or absorption belief Buddhism into Thailand. Divided into 7 administrative districts or Amphoe, namely: Amphoe Muang Nakhon Pathom, Amphoe Buddhamonthon, Amphoe Sam Phran, Amphoe Nakhon Chaisi, Amphoe Bang Len, Amphoe Kamphaeng Saen, and Amphoe Don Toom. Most of the area is plain with no mountains, the soil found in the eastern plateau west of Amphoe Muang and Amphoe Kamphaeng Saen. Plains along the Tha Cheen River River (Nakhon Chaisi River) is the location of Amphoe Nakhon district Chaisi, Amphoe Sam Phran, and Amphoe Bang Len. This provides fertile soil of agricultural areas where most people live from agriculture is gardening, animal husbandry, planting food plants and fruits. More than that, Nakhon Pathom is well known for pomelo or grapefruit, some people call Nakhon Pathom the sweet pomelo town.
