Glory Doi Inthanon

Chiangmai-doi.at 8,500 feet above sea level, Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand. This is the best location for the sights and atmosphere offers visitors forests, bird life and waterfalls.
During the winter peak of Doi Inthanon is usually cool and dry, but in the last few years the air temperature fell lower and lower. Now you have a very rare opportunity to experience temperatures below freezing. This area is famous for fog when the temperature begins to decline and the image of a misty mountain beauty and the iconic look.
Chiangmai-doi4Dua large pagoda was built for the King and Queen of Thailand is located at the top of the mountain. Doi Inthanon forest has been designated as National Park. The trip to the mountain is often combined with a trip to Mae Klang waterfall, Wachiratan and Siriphum. With more than 400 species of birds, Doi Inthanon is the main objective to observe the birds.
Details: Various sites in and around Doi Inthanon provide varying ticket prices. However, a visit to Wat Phra Mahatat Naphamethanidon would cost 200 Baht and this gives free access to most of the other sites that are available here.
How to get there: Given the scale of the mountain of Doi Inthanon, join one of the many tour companies in town may provide the best path for you. Alternatively, take the bus to Chom Thong destination from Chiang Mai Gate (south city) and then take a bus to the destination Mae Klang waterfall, and then another bus to the mountain.
