Brunei is on the island of Borneo and has an area bordered by Sarawak from west to east, and bordering the South China Sea to the north. Meanwhile, the country consists of two parts that are not interrelated. In terms of history, actually Brunei once closely associated with Indonesia. Even Brunei had entered the territory of Sriwijaya and Majapahit. But when King Hayam Wuruk died, Brunei freeing itself as an independent country. England’s arrival has made Brunei a country under the protection of the British Empire in 1888. After a long history of this country, finally on January 4, 1979, Brunei and the United Kingdom signed a Treaty of Cooperation and Friendship, which continues in full independence of Brunei Darussalam on January 1, 1984.

State of Brunei Darussalam has four districts, namely: Brunei / Muara District where the capital of Brunei-Bandar Seri Begawan-being. The second is the Tutong District, consisting of forests and plantations. Then Belait, one of the most modern district, where the oil industry is located. Last is the Temburong District, the most isolated places in the Eastern region and separated from the whole of Brunei.

It is said that the palace which costs about 600 billion dollars and an area of approximately 200,000 m2 has 1778 rooms, 257 bathrooms, 5 swimming pools, 110 car garage, hall for 400 guests, 18 elevators, and a mosque. Unfortunately, this palace is only ‘open up’ during Hari Raya Idul Fitri, when the people of Brunei are given the opportunity to Be hospitable to the Sultan and the Sultan’s family.

Nurul Iman palace is home to the Sultan of Brunei. This palace is suspected as the world’s largest palace. The extent of 200,000 square meters with 1788 rooms, 257 bathrooms. In the Nurul Iman Palace there are 5 swimming pools, 200 air conditioners, garage which includes 110 cars, a room that serves as a hall and can accommodate 4000 guests, and a mosque that can accommodate 1500 pilgrims.

Nurul Iman Palace was built in 1984 to cost 1.4 million U.S. dollars. One part of the Nurul Iman Palace has a golden dome, and who designed the golden dome was an architect hope Fiipina, Leandro V. Locsin. Roofs Nurul Iman Palace itself a strong influence of Islamic architecture and the Malays.

Royal Regalia Building built in 1992 to commemorate the anniversary of the appointment of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah became a leader of the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam.
